Born in Rochdale, Lancashire and educated at the
Manchester Grammar School, before getting MAs from Cambridge (Natural Sciences) and
Lancaster (Operational Research). Spent 17 years with British Airways in a range of jobs
including Business Support and Operational Research Manager and manager responsible for
all personal computing. Promoted creativity initially within British Airways and later on
a wider front. Has written two pieces of creativity software for BA and the Imagination
Engineering package.
Author of more than a dozen business books and regular contributor to
Personal Computer World, Computer Weekly, PC Dealer, Professional Manager, VNU|Net and V3,
Brian provides training and consultancy to corporates on business creativity and
personal development. He now lives in a small Wiltshire village, and when
not training specializes in writing popular science books.
